Here’s a video showing how to make presents in PowerPoint. This one, I find, is extremely complicated. This object allows you to overlay multiple shapes in order to make one and includes lots of gradients to add to the realism so this can get massively confusing. Making The Ribbon Gradients
- Start by making a square.
- Make a rectangle and place it horizontally in the centre of the square.
- Give the rectangle ‘No Outline’.
- Select ‘Shape Fill’ then hover the mouse over ‘Gradient’.
- Select the angle ‘Linear Right’.
- Repeat step 4 and select ‘More Gradients’.
- From here, select a gold colour for the two bars on either end, and a cream colour for the third bar in the middle to give it a shiny look.
- Make another rectangle and place it vertically in the centre of the square.
- Give the rectangle ‘No Outline’.
- Select ‘Shape Fill’ then hover the mouse over ‘Gradient’.
- Select the angle ‘From Centre’.
- From here, select a gold colour for the two bars on either end, and a cream colour for the third bar in the middle.
Making The Bow Gradients
- Select the shape ‘Ribbon: Curved and Tilted Down’.
- Give the shape a black outline.
- Select ‘Shape Fill’ then hover the mouse over ‘Gradient’.
- Select the angle ‘From Centre’.
- Repeat step 3 and select ‘More Gradients’.
- From here, select a cream colour for the bar on the left, and a gold colour for the bar on the right to give it a shiny look, like the ribbon.
- Select the shape ‘Ribbon: Curved and Tilted Up’.
- Give the shape a black outline.
- Select ‘Shape Fill’ then hover the mouse over ‘Gradient’.
- Select the angle ‘Linear Right’.
- Repeat step 9 and select ‘More Gradients’.
- This time create 5 bars and select a gold colour for the two bars on either end and the one in the middle. Then give the two remaining bars a cream colour.
- Adjust the size and placement of the two shapes and make sure that ‘Ribbon: Curved and Tilted Down’ is overlapping ‘Ribbon: Curved and Tilted Up’. Then the perfect bow will be achieved.
