I thought it would be interesting to discover some of the effects HitFilm, video editor software, had to offer. Doing this would help me get to grips with the software and give me a chance to build on some skills. I got the idea from watching a music video on YouTube which included a cool flash effect.
I broke the effect down and went through the video frame by frame to see exactly how it was achieved. I then applied a similar effect to my video and I ended up with a reacurring flash on my video. Then I experimented with colour, camera shake, transitions, blending and white balance. This is the crazy video I ended up with:
