I took inspiration from film/movie trailers where I had seen them doing a similar thing. The contrast from the ordinary practice room to the colourful music video looks really cool - like a sudden glow up.
To do this, I overlapped the two videos and lined them up precisely so that they were dancing the exact same in both videos at the same time. This way there would be no parts repeated and it won’t look jumpy. I started cutting the parts in the music video I thought would match up best with the other video based on the camera angle.
Once I had gone through the entire video, it was done. Edits like these are very simple, and don’t take long to achieve a slick outcome.
